I assume you mean you are planning to vote in your home town rather than your school town. If that's the case then your official residence is still your home town and you can leave it as it is.

If you are planning to vote in your school state then you will need to register there. You won't need to provide your license if you have another form of ID at the time you register (or first time you vote).

All the details are available at the Secretary of State office... student voting section:

Actually, students who move frequently are encouraged to keep their instate home address registration and request absentee ballots be sent to their away from home school address. If they are living in a different county than their parents, the parent may even request that the absentee ballot be sent to the student at school on their behalf.

If a student registers at their school address in spring of 2012 and then moves next fall, they will need to update their voter registration in order to vote in the Presidential election - not necessary with absentee ballots!! That said, the most important thing is to register to vote (wherever you consider home!)

You should register to vote where you live. You are much more likely to vote. And local election officials cannot treat students differently than they treat any other citizen when it comes to voting. (That’s in the U.S. Constitution, baby!)

You cannot vote in two places -- like at your parent’s house and at school -- but if you consider your dorm or address at school your residence, you should register to vote there.

Yes, you can leave your home address on your license.

    Hope that helps.
