  0 0 The date of the Georgia Presidential Preference Primary has not been announced yet. The Georgia Secretary of State's office has until December to release a date.   My 18th birthday is May 18th 2012, will I be able to vote in the presidential election?

  0 0 You will be able to vote in the general election which will take place on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. However, the primary elections will take place in the spring before your 18th birthday, making you ineligible to vote.   Do you have to be a US citizen to vote?

According to the Secretary of State - http://sos.georgia.gov/elections/voter_eligibility.htm - to be eligible to vote in Georiga you must be: -A citizen of the United States. -A legal resident of Georgia and of the county in which you wish to vote. -At least 17 1/2 years of age.
