    While voter roles cannot be used to determine jury duty, voter registration lists are indeed one of a number of sources used to randomly select jury pools.

    I am registered to vote In Fulton County but live in Athens, Ga for college. Can I vote in Athens or is it too late?

    You may requst an absentee ballot 180 days prior to the election up to the Friday before. Ballots will be mailed beginning 45 days prior to the election.

    Student Voting

    Actually, students who move frequently are encouraged to keep their instate home address registration and request absentee ballots be sent to their away from home school address. If they are living in a different county than their parents, the parent may even request that the absentee ballot be sent to the student at school on their behalf.

    If a student registers at their school address in spring of 2012 and then moves next fall, they will need to update their voter registration in order to vote in the Presidential election - not necessary with absentee ballots!! That said, the most important thing is to register to vote (wherever you consider home!)

    When is the GOP Primary in Georgia

    The date have been set for March 6, 2012. The voter regsitration deadline for that election is February 6, 2012.

    After I fill out the form how do I know Iam registered to vote ?

    You can go to My Voter Page at www.sos.ga.gov/MVP to see if you are registered to vote and find your voting location. If you previously registered and cannot find your voter information at MVP, you can contact your county registrar. The contact information can be found at: http://sos.georgia.gov/cgi-bin/countyregistrarsindex.asp
